Durable, fireproof acoustic panels ideal for tunnel lining and underground applications

Quietstone FR30 is a range of fire fireproof acoustic panels made from specially bonded aggregates. This produces a tough robust panel with excellent sound absorption and high durability. Similar to the original Quietstone but with extensive development, we can now also boast very high fire test results.

Acoustic materials are often, by their nature, soft and porous to absorb unwanted sound. As such they are not very durable and often made from flammable materials. At Quietstone we have developed our own unique range of acoustic products made from specially bonded expanded glass beads. Further advances in the bonding process has enabled us to develop our Fireproof Acoustic Panels. Fireproof, weatherproof and tough yet porous to absorb sound.

Note: Quietstone now also supply lightweight fire board.

Sound Absorption iconSound Absorption

Sound absorption or noise deadening, is one of the key properties of Quietstone. The structure of the material is designed to take in and absorb the sound energy. This unwanted sound is then lost or transmitted away thus ‘deadening’ the noise.

Fire Protection IconFire Proofing

Fireproof is one of the key properties of Quietstone. Fire protection is a valuable property required in a range of applications, from tunnel linings to marine engine rooms.

Applications

  • Tunnel lining to reduce reverberation and noise while also protecting services in a fire
  • Underground stations to reduce noise reverberation and increase speech intelligibility for PA/VA systems
  • Wherever sound absorption is required and fire safety is also a key concern
